The states that we went through are:
We went through Maryland on the very first day. This was the first state that we went through on our journey. |
We went through Pennsilvania on the first day, right after Maryland. |
We went through West Virginia on the frst day, right after Pennsilvania. |
We went through Ohio on the first day right after West Virginia. This is where we started to enter the scenery of nothing but corn, soybeans, and farm land. |
This was the last state that we went through on the first day. This is where we would spend the night at my dad's Aunt Marie and Uncle Bob's house. After an 12 hour drive, we were all happy to get out of the car and do something. |
This was the very first state that we went through on the second day of our journey. |
After about three hours of driving, we finially crossed into a new state, Iowa. Not to our suprise, the scenery didn't change at all except it got a little bit flatter. |
As we entered Nebraska, on day 3, we hit 103 degrese and we were completely shocked. As we traveled through Nebraska, we found that the land got flatter and flatter. In Nebraska we went to Scott's Bluff and at the top, you could see for miles because it was so flat. You could even see the sun hitting certian spots on the land. This was truly what most if America is like and unlike amy people, I had the oppertunity to see all of it. |
This was the final state of day 3 and tomorrow we would be going to a true country rodeo right down the road. We were all very excited, 1 because there would be cowboys, and 2 because the three of us (the kids) had never seen an real rodeo before. |
After going to the rodeo, we were eager to get on the road to start or 4th and final day of driving and cross into Colorado where we would get to see all of the family. When we saw that "Welcome to Colorado" sign, we were all so excited and we all clapped while the Colorado state sign was slowly fading behind us. |
After a fun week in Colorado, it came time where we had to leave and start our first day of our journey home. |
Texas was the second state that we crossed into on or journey home. |
Arkansas was the last state that we go to on day one on the way home. That night we stayed in the Peabody Hotel in Little Rock. We were all excited to see the ducks walk out of the fountain and get into the elevator except for my dad. He could care less.
This was the last state that we went through and then we were home. |
